This group is formed for the purpose of sharing traffic mitigation measures/ schemes/ improvements/ ideas in the urban centers of the country, including new ideas for a fast, efficient, safe and integrated urban transportation systems. The equivalent cost of losses from the lost of man-hours for commuters and motorists, more fuel consumed for vehicles, increased carbon emission to the atmosphere, among other detrimental effects due to delays in heavy (slow) traffic flow could be in the range of billions of pesos annually. The government (particularly the MMDA/ DOTC/ LTO/ LTFRB, TMO of LGUs/ barangays, etc.) can not just be left alone in trying to solve this gargantuan problem of traffic and transport which is inherent in a fast developing economy like what we are experiencing now. Annually, there will always be more cars on the road especially in Metro Manila and other urban centers but the construction of additional road space will not suffice to improve traffic unless there is a concerted effort from everyone in order to mitigate it. We therefore encourage all motorists, commuters and pedestrians alike to share in this advocacy for a better urban center in your own respective area. Mabuhay ka Pilipinas!
