This group shows how important social and emotional intelligence are in todays day and age, ESPECIALLY for survivors of trauma and cults, ie. EX-JWs. I think it is safe to say that anger, rage and fear play an important role in the current drama. This is why I am constantly posting books on mental health, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, and social etiquette. I highly advise everyone in this group and in all of the ex-JW groups to seek out regular counseling to really process what youve experienced, even if you think you are just fine. You cant go through those armegeddon images of destruction day in and day out, years and years, without some kind of cognitive distortions. Plus, being able to resolve conflicts, manage stress, and self-soothe are highly valued transferrable job skills to boot. If we all collectively had put more efforts into spreading conflict resolution tools in the ex-JW groups, maybe we could have minimized or even avoided all this drama.
