This guy is a wise businessman - and Ill happily do business with him again. ------------- A note from Rob Dickens, co-owner of Rugged Maniac: I sincerely apologize for the bus issues that you experienced at the North Carolina event last Saturday. We pride ourselves on providing the best possible experience for our customers and that obviously didnt happen. We had scheduled twelve buses for the event from two separate bus companies, which was more than sufficient for the expected crowds. However, one company’s drivers refused to shuttle participants back to the parking area despite the corporate office’s assurance to us before the event that wet and muddy people would not be a problem. That left us with six buses operating for most of the day, which was clearly not what we had planned. I realize that it is little consolation after the fact, but we will be moving next years North Carolina event to a venue with on-site parking, and well schedule it for mid-May to better ensure warm weather for this event moving forward. Absolutely nothing upsets me more than unhappy customers, which is why I will personally plan, coordinate and oversee next years event to ensure that it is the best Rugged Maniac Obstacle Race in our 4-year history. On top of that, we will offer a special $25 flat entry fee for next years event to each person who participated this year. That ticket will include all fees, taxes and insurance, as well as free timing. We will send you an email with that offer as soon as we secure our 2015 venue. I value your business and I hope you offer us the chance to redeem ourselves at next years event.
