This happen Friday… Its Pool Time in some places and soon everywhere… Please be careful around them… Hard to beleive a 2 1/2 yr old could crawl out of his bed and open the doors and get to the pool without being notice… I feel so sorry for the 15 sibling who was left home to babysit him… Please pray for this family… A two-year old male toddler was found Friday in the family pool by neighbors and pronounced dead at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital by Justice of the Peace Ronny Glossup, at approximately 11:45 a.m., Friday. The accident occurred when the child was left by parents in the care of an older sibling, age 15, and the sibling was unaware that the child had gotten out of bed and left the home. The residence was betwen Peerless and Cumby, in northwestern Hopkins County. Neighbors noticed the child and contacted both the sibling and emergency personnel but they were unable to revive the child, after the brother dove into the water and retrieved the child. The child is identified at 2 1/2 year old Elijah Parker. JP Glossup demanded an autopsy, as is customary in such incidents, but said it was clearly an accident. The mother told Glossup that the child had just learned how to climb out of his baby bed and the brother thought the child was still asleep in the bed. Prayers for the family!
