This has been -mostly- a good day. I awakened without a blinding headache for the first time since Tuesday. A major plus if ever there was one. I had a lovely breakfast with my wife, as the birds had a loud breakfast at the feeder. I am not happy that I offended a dear friend of more years than either one of us would care to admit, but I am troubled more by -why- it happened. Christianity is supposed to be a faith of love and peace, and yet far too many folk use it to bludgeon others over the head about God. Thus, some of us, whove been injured in that fashion, react harshly to fundamentalist commentary, and fundamentalists frequently act equally harshly to being disagreed with in many cases. Yet, a dialog for co-existence NEEDS to happen. Several times this year, Ive been confronted personally by fundamentalist Christians who were PROUD of their intolerance, because Christ Jesus wants it that way -- and wanted to force that on the whole community. It scares me when I hear people in my own neighborhood talking like that. However, the day was allowed to improve slightly, because we went to see Mockingjay, which was quite good. Came home to roast beef, a kale salad, sweet potato, and a few (more) episodes of Poirot. Heres hoping tomorrow is even more of an improvement.
