This has been a tough day. I have been prepping myself for some bad news regarding my spine but I could not have expected what was said today. It was NOT good at all, not one shred, not even an inkling of good news. I dont want to get into details. But it is VERY serious, very rare and in the Doctors own words, Nothing like Ive ever seen before. (Thats the third Neurologist who said that to me!) Surgery is my only answer but after many weeks of evaluation and opinions, the Neurology team said they would not take the chance due to the riskiness of the ordeal. They are asking for 8 more weeks to discuss with different spinal specialists around the country and then they will make their final decision. In the meantime I am seeking a third opinion from the Hospital for Special Surgery(recommended by my Doctor) due to their experience with rare injuries like what I have. Please continue to pray for us.
