This has been a very rainy spring and summer in Georgia, and Morgan County has been no exception. As a result, the cleanup of Mallory Chapel Cemetery that we did in the winter has been nearly negated by the rapid return of undergrowth, brambles, and tree seedlings. Although we plan on continuing our annual cleanups of the cemetery, we are also looking into having a local contractor treat the area with herbicide during what remains of the growing season, so that we can more easily keep the area cleared.
