This has been an exciting week as the City of Harlingen and Rotary Club of Harlingen announced Habitat for Humanitys partnership and expansion at this weeks press conference. Our mutual goal is to revitalize neighborhoods, while fostering community volunteerism and helping low income families in need of quality housing. Thank you Mayor Chris Boswell, City Manager Carlos Yerena and Commissioners Michael Mezmar,Tudor Uhlhorn, Basilio Sanchez & Victor Leal for your support! Thank you Kathy Preddy, Harlingen Rotary President & Wayne Lowry Rotary committee chair/Habitat Board members for helping get this project off the ground and sponsoring the first Habitat Home in Harlingen. Board members Matt Wilson, Bill Jones and Jose Aleman (seen in photo) have worked diligently with the rest of the Habitat Board to fulfill our organizations Mission.
