This has been an exciting week in the life of Duncan Christian Chargers BBall teams.! The Sr.Girls defeated Agassiz Secondary 59 - 53 in an exciting fashion! - Fought with determination and lost a tough battle with Similkameen 41 - 59. Juliet King was named a tournament all-star. DCS finishes 6th! Sr. Girls finish in 6th place, congrats girls!!! In the last 2 games for the Sr. Boys they lost to Langley Christian 38 - 61, with of the 2 top players being injured. 3rd game with Pacific Academy 44 - 64 (outplayed them in the 2nd half - 16 to 43 at half) with one main player still injured. - Jesse Van Wingerden selected to the BC Christian Tournament All-star team! DCS Sr. Boys finished in 4th place!! Great placement guys!! DCS Jr. Boys Bball team is competed at the BC Christian Jr. Boys Bball Championship at High Road Christian Academy, Chilliwack. - lost first game to Langley Christian - Player of the game was Ben Henry for great defense- lost 2nd game to Pacific Christian - Player of the game was Ben Kapteyn for working hard and going strong to the hoop.- lost to Pacific Academy 24 - 28 - a great game - with the lead exchanging back and forth all game! Player of the game was Vincent Fernandez for boxing out and rebounding. Way to go Jr.Boys!! * DCS Jr. Girls Bball team hosted the BC Christian Jr. Girls Bball Championship in Duncan at Duncan Christian School and at the Island Savings Centre. - lost to Carver Christian - DCS played well and gained some great experience in front of a home crowd - lost to Surrey Christian - an impressive game. DCS gave large school and power house Surrey Christian a strong fight! - DCS met up Carver Christian again - DCS had a great final game of the tourney! DCS outscored Carver in the 2nd half of the game and lost a game that could have gone either way! 16 - 22! - BC Christian Tournament All-star = Zoey Alyward - BC Christian Team MVP = Breanna Wikkerink
