This has been on my mind, Friends, and I thought Id share. There is undeniably a macro and a micro aspect to modern American Life. By and large, the majority of media we digest (are sold?), deals with the macro. Macro-trends, macro-policies, macro-polls, macro-stats, macro-morality, macro-economies, macro-reality, macro-dogmas....am I right? (With many excellent and appreciated exceptions, for sure.) From recent revelations, conversations, observations, intuitions(?); I have noticed that the most peaceful, love-experiencing Souls among us have a decent balance. A perspective....of just how useful and applicable all this macro-data is, for Real. And, how it has Real limitations. We Live micro, after all. That is to say, the only relationships, policies, doctrine, ideologies, dogmas that will matter at any given moment are those we personally choose to apply to the people around us. Those, Im reminding myself, need to stay anchored in a principal of kindness. When a macro mind ruins a micro moment.....weve All lost. Some of you, maybe, hear me and feel me? I swear, though, if you wanna instinctively say: you saying ignorance is bliss???, Id say look at it more in terms of balance. Pure and thorough ignorance, I would not advocate. However, pure and thorough righteousness, Ive never seen? Ive witnessed those who keep it Real. They are aware of macro ideology, yet often do not apply theirs to the micro situation, right? Kindness supersedes in cases where it must. Theyve found a Balance. A Harmony within themselves that works for and on behalf of and for the betterment of themselves. Think about it...how else could James Carville and Mary Matalin ever coexist? Truly. Maybe not the best one, but a good example among many. As I say, this post is a reminder to myself: Keep it Real. Keep it Balanced. Keep it Close. Keep it NoW. Keep it Kind. Yay Music.
