This has been related to me by one of The Levittown Project readers : The person ( a Levittown resident) was looking around an abandoned home in their neighborhood when 2 men pulled up, got out of the car wearing badges (possibly ID tags) and carrying a camera. The men said they were bank representatives (they refused to give name of bank) and stated their job was to visit abandoned houses on their list and to keep track of them. The Levittown resident asked them what will happen to the abandoned houses and the men replied that they will not be sold but used as tax write offs for the bank. Now I dont know if these men were legitimate and neither does the Levittown resident, but I hope that they werent because to think that the banks will just sit on these homes until they fall into the ground is a horrible future for us all.
