This headline is misleading as he has not been to trial and there is no conviction, but he DOES face these bogus charges quite literally based on song lyrics. a little-used statute approved by California voters in 2000 that allows for the prosecution of gang members if they benefitted from crimes committed by other gang members. Attorneys for the state say Duncans songs promoted gang violence and that he benefited from the shootings through increased album sales. Gang members i.e. blacks. #Racist much? Can we use this same law to prosecute the ultimate gang called Law Enforcement? How about pharmaceutical companies that make billions from the sales of medications that have caused the death of millions? Or Wall Street that benefited from its crimes gambling with submortgages? #freespeech
