This holiday season Id like to take a moment to wish each of you a happy holiday season and thank you for the positive influence youve had on my life. That is a Christmas present I get to enjoy every year. For the kindness and love youve shown me I owe each of you a debt that can never be repaid. Id like to thank my siblings, Jeremy Ohman, Quinten Ohman, Rachel Frost, Taylor Frost and Dylan Ohman, for being much more than brothers and sister. You are my best friends, youre the foundation on which Ive built my life, youre part of me as surely as my arms and legs for without you I would be incomplete. Id like to thank my mother, Jill Welch, for showing me how to be compassionate and impressing upon me the importance of following ones dreams no matter how daunting that task may at first seem and also for sacrificing so much on my behalf. I live every day in an effort to justify those sacrifices. Id like to thank my father, Kent Ohman, for teaching me the importance of fortitude and how to act with honor, two traits that seem to be in short supply these days. Id like to say thank you to my Grandma, Marcy Ohman, the person I love and respect most in this world. Youve given me so much more than words could ever express. To Tim Ferguson, Nathan Kaul and Derek Moore for showing me the true meaning of brotherhood. To Sarah Moothart for showing me that love is and always should be unconditional (and for dealing with my bullshit). To Fernanda Petry for proving that the purest form of beauty comes from within. To Steve and Sue Kaul for showing me that generosity should not be the exception, but rather the rule. To my Aunt, Cindy Ohman, for showing me how to laugh, and laugh often (dont think thats new, we just havent been hanging out as often as we once did). To my Uncle, Jody Welch, for showing me how to balance that laughter with responsibility. Id like to thank my step-parents, Jeanette Ohman, Thad Warren and Tony Frost. I may not be of you body but you have loved me as if I was your own child, something most will never know. To those I didnt mention by name, its not because youre less important or less influential, its because if I continue on I may fully break out in tears beyond the ability of my t-shirt to absorb, which already looks like a ink-blot test. To all of you, I wish not just an happy holiday season but an amazing life. Know that as I look forward into 2015 and beyond I do so with hope, and the knowledge that what youve imparted on me will help me become a better person and to overcome adversity in any form. I cherish the time weve spent together and hope to share much in the future. They say it takes a village to raise a child. You people are my village. They also say every village has its idiot and I am proud to be your idiot.
