This horse/pony is actually a better fit for what I am anticipating. He will make an excellent schoolmaster for a young rider. On a similar note: I passed two horse gear catalogs over the fence to my neighbor to allow his daughter to see what horses wear (and to give Daddy some idea how much all this horse stuff costs). I warned him that now was the time to nip this whole horse thing in the bud if he really couldnt see having a horse in the family. I also mentioned that it might be too late. That if she really wanted a horse, shed find a way to have one. I mentioned the horse bank I had as a child. Every dime I earned went into that bank. I found chores to do for dimes. I asked neighbors if I could rake their leaves, or water their plants, or feed their cat, or sweep their driveway. As I got older, I did a lot of babysitting, and I folded thousands of brochures for 50 cents per hundred at a local newspaper/printer. I did my sisters chores for their weekly allowance. Where there is a will, there is a way. I gave him fair warning. If she is already too far gone, or if another child in my life has the passion also, I am keeping my eye out for the best fit. :D youtu.be/TyQdIR0epBk
