This illustrates a deeply ingrained inferiority complex that began centuries ago and is continuing - even subliminally - via the media (TV, cartoons, games, magazines, etc). It is often here where we receive suggestions that the standard of beauty may be something OTHER than the reflection we see in the mirror. From this place, the whole world conspires to indoctrinate others into this fallacy. From this place, many often judge themselves as hateful, less than, inferior... and will, therefore, aspire to no greater - due to such limiting thoughts about their OWN person. Im so thankful I had beautiful DARK-SKINNED family all around (father, brother, sister, niece, nephew, son) who were confident in their skin - proving by sight and experience that black IS beautiful. Cant tell me - nor them - any different. The blacker the berry the sweeter the juice... the darker the skin the deeper the roots. Nevertheless, we ought to indoctrinate our children (before the media does) that all shades of skin is beautiful to live in.
