This informative analysis highlights one of the first things I noticed in the video of Eric Garners killing. He was trying to explain a situation (that he had been breaking up a fight) to police, and he was irritated at being harassed. But when they came in for him, he immediately put up his hands. He did NOT resist arrest. And throughout the ordeal, he did not put his hands into fists or fight in any way. He simply asked to breathe. And no one helped.
