This irritates pretty badly. Ive actually been present for something a little worse than this. I was at dinner with my ex and her family after a church service that her father, a Pentecostal minister, had given. The whole family had gone to TGIFridays go eat after. Our waitress was obviously new, but she wasnt horrible. I only had to ask for a refill once (if youve ever eaten at a restaurant with me, u know I tear through my beverage), do u can imagine. They not only objected to the automatic gratuity, they made a scene where they openly criticized this poor girl to the point she broke down and balled on the spot. I chewed these people out (politely) and gather a feeble tip from them, to which I added the remainder plus some extra for her mistreatment. For doing so, the whole family, my ex included, proceeded to accuse me of dleeping with the waitress......to which, I responded accordingly. ;)
