This is Abigail Marie, born this past February by Lisa (Elyse) Veach. Lisa, Deb, and Alison, are absolutely phenomenal women and care providers. They are patient, informative, understanding, and personal. I was so thrilled to see the midwifery team at NOCH, and this news is heartbreaking. Abigail is my second child. I did not live in Grand Haven when I had my son. My first pregnancy and birth were emotionally and physically traumatic, and I ended up with many more interventions than I had intended. The midwives went out of their way to be sensitive to my needs as a mother and address all my concerns. I had a beautiful birth experience with Abigail, and feel very blessed to have been cared for by the midwives. Losing these women will be a huge blow to the community. And unfortunately, without the midwives, I will not return to NOCH for future children.
