This is Ahmed....he is 24yrs old and has Spina Bifida. Ahmed usually gets around in his wheel chair, he is an amazing individual. Ahmed and I have been friends since grade 7. Through the years he has been there for me through everything...and for that I am eternally grateful. Recently Ahmed joined a gym, and has been working out nearly everyday. Through multiple conversations, Ahmed has told me about his daily routine at the gym. The thought of that alone made me so proud of him....but tonight as I was watching t.v. my phone went off to tell me there was a notification. When I saw that it was from Ahmed I automatically thought it was a simple text, but to my surprise I saw this video. As I sat and watched this video, my eyes filled up with tears...to know that on a daily basis he depends on a wheelchair to get around, but at the gym he is able to persevere and walk on a treadmill...he honestly blew my mind away!!! Ahmed, I hope you know just how incredibly proud I am of you...this is a huge accomplishment for you, and like always I wish you nothing but the best!!!! *Nothing is Impossible...Never Give Up*
