This is Beautifully written. 7 years ago I was a single dad with two beautiful kids in my custody. One year later I quickly became a married dad with 4 kids in our custody. Today I am thrilled to have 2 more beautiful children in my home, my life and my heart. I smile most when I hold my little Baby boy. I laugh hardest when my little 4 year old girl says hilarious things. I am immensely proud when my oldest son outscores the entire freshman class on his English standardized test or my middle son outscores everyone in a basketball tournament. I beam with delight when I receive an email from my oldest daughters seminary teacher that says she is a one of his best students, a leader in class and always has something to share. And I smile and get a tear in my eye when my middle daughter perfectly performs a solo in the school choir concert. I dont know if I am raising any Ben Franklins and I am positive I dont have a Beethoven yet! What I do know is that with every child, I become a better man. I learn patience, love, humility and kindness. I found love and companionship with my wife. I receive happiness in my job and with my clients and co workers but I learned Joy from my children.
