This is Cameo. My neighbor is moving and he is leaving his pitbull. He is a very friendly 5yr old intact male (not for long if I can help it). When he was playing with my dog this past summer he looked well fed and taken care of. This winter he has started to get thin and has pressure sores from laying on the ground in his dog house. My neighbor informed me that they are moving by the end of the month and they arent taking him with them. With their permission I brought him to work to test him and get him treated for any conditions he might have. He is being treated for intestinal parasites, bilateral ear infections and a skin infection from the pressure sores. His heartworm test and CBC/chemistry were normal. I got his vaccines (DHPP, lepto and rabies) done and started him on sentinel and parastar. I know for a fact that he is great with small kids and larger dogs. I havent seen him with little dogs or cats, he is very interested in the cats at work. I would love to keep him but my house is just too small. Id hate to see him euthanized or just let go. If you know of anyone that could help me out with getting him a foster or permanent home that would be wonderful! Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
