This is Davids first official release after That terrible pop album that nearly killed him. The Raging Sea is a fully original EP, featuring six songs written by David van Vuuren. For the past three years he has been playing shows all over our beautiful country. Focusing mainly on Folk/Rock music, he has now, finally recorded some of these songs. It just so happens to be that two of his favourite writers in South Africa, Gareth Wilson and Naming James, are also good friends and will be joining David on stage on July 12th. He is very stoked about that because he has been on tour twice with them and they are responsible for him going on tour in the first place. At first there was the natural banter about David being an Idol but shortly after that they made him feel like one of the boys. First up at 8pm will be the roots man himself Gareth (G-willy) Wilson. He has toured our country with the amazing and legendary Southern Gypsy Queen for more than ten years now and has some really great stories to tell. Hes full of charisma and one-liners and is sure to open the evening with music full of heart. Secondly at 9pm will be the wordsmith Naming James, he too is a character of note and has the ability to make you feel happy and amped through out his whole set! With songs like The Butchers Knife and Give A Little More he never fails to give his all and his songs are simply brilliant. A man whos done a hell of a lot of touring as a duo, solo act and with his band. Naming James will have you dancing the entire time. Lastly at 10pm, David van Vuuren will take to the stage and perform his new songs in the exact order theyre in on the EP. His performance is full of passion and these set of songs are sure to take you on a little bit of a journey, being a concept EP after all. ENTRANCE: R60 ***Official merchandise will be on sale***
