This is Day 4 of my musical challenge. Rob Herman invited me to post a favorite song on Facebook 5 days in a row. Mary was my introduction to Patty Griffins writing and music some 12-13 years ago. Like Erics music, its impossible for me to pick just one favorite song of hers. So my 4th choice is actually Wild Old Dog. Out here where we live, a lot of people dump dogs. In 2005 we took in a German Shepherd abandoned on our county road - all bones and a huge, loving heart. We gave Girl a good home for 8 years until it was her time to go. Even with a roof over her head, she couldnt relax indoors. She was most comfortable sleeping out on the porch at night. In the spirit of dogs and dog lovers, I would like to invite Bianca De Leon, Nathan Taylor, Marco Fecchio and Ella Fecchio to each share one of their favorite songs each day for the coming 5 days.
