This is EXACTLY why Girls Standing Together started. This father came to us early yesterday in a private manner and within 24 hours we made it happen!!!! CRISIS SITUATION! We have a single parent with 3 children who is about to be evicted. He paid the rent, however, was not aware the house was in foreclosure until the sheriffs department showed up. Given the circumstances, the SO has given him 48 hours to vacate the premises. That would be Friday! We have found a landlord willing to wave 2nd months rent and security deposit as well as reduce the rent on the house by $300 per month. UPDATE: We raised $550 to help with moving costs and groceries in less than 24 hours. The father and 3 daughters need ONE BED..if anyone out there has a good bed they can donate, please contact me as soon as you can. THANK YOU and what a gorgeous day!!!!!
