This is FANTASTIC I am just LOVING THE SUPPORT nationwide! On the other hand, the family of the last NYPD victim has said they dont need Al Sharpton (or our support)... the policeman was texting his union rep instead of calling 911... yes, that guy. Im sure they have a lawyer that advised them not to cause a fuss in this case. He/she called the Da and made a deal - I guarantee you that this is behind the scenes mechanizations by the DAs office and the police. Watch, they will do an investigation, find the office guilty of misconduct and have him fall on the sword for this one. The DA will convene a grand jury and amazingly enough, find they have probable cause to go ahead and the DA will promise to charge the policeman and have a fair trial by a jury of his peers - thats how they play the game folks, on both sides. The officers family will be compensated richly, as we well know and IF he goes to jail it will be 3/4 years from now in a special country club facility, do a year or two max and hell be back out and probably hired as a rookie cop somewhere else to kill again. In the meantime we will have forgotten about Akai Gurley and the circumstances surrounding his death because of his very foolish family. Obviously someone with a brain contacted Rev Sharpton or he contacted them. Maybe they got their signals crossed but that LAST THING they should have done was go to the media and say his help is not wanted or needed. Who turns down support like this? If Al Sharpton had not been shining the spotlight on Mr Garner, he would have been forgotten. Im so glad people arent letting it go and I hope they continue until the Feds step up, step in and do the right thing.
