This is Kacy Catanzaro, the first female to ever complete the obstacle course on a show called American Ninja Warrior. You cannot fail to be amazed when you watch her in action here. She is the sort of person that you would not pick out of a crowd and wouldnt notice if she walked past you in the street. But she has what seems to be super-human ability for her size and stature. You watch what she can do and, if you are like me, its hard to pick out any of the obstacles that you know you could successfully negotiate yourself, never mind the fact she did them all, one after the other. But despite her size and appearance, she defied all expectation and destroyed that course, and, along with it, any pre conceived ideas you may have had about what she was capable of. Can you imagine how you would feel if she was your mentor? Any time you tried to say that something was too hard or you dont think you can do it she would be able to turn right back at you and give examples of the hundreds of times she must have felt the same thing, but never gave up. There will have been times where people doubted it would even be possible for her to ever complete that course. But she had that absolute self belief, dedication and determination. That is why I do everything I can not to let people start doubting themselves. It really is possible to overcome all obstacles, no matter how impossible they may appear at first. There will be a moment when something in your mind just clicks and you start to believe in yourself at last, and somebody like Kacy would not rest until that happened for you. Its sort of the way I try to operate with my team. I know what is possible for them and I dont want to them to fall short.
