This is Mac -a young Cavalier King Charles spaniel who a few weeks ago got a bit overexcited when playing and became very lame, he was seen by one of our night vets at 9.30pm and X-rays taken that night showed a fracture of his humerus just above the elbow. He had a supportive dressing applied and had pain relief overnight then our orthopaedic surgeons operated on his leg the following day , using screws and pins to fix the fracture- so he now feels a lot better. As you can see from the video taken the day after surgery he is using his leg well. He still need lots of rest as bone heals slowly- get well soon Mac.
