This is Macau. Hong Kong will be soon like this next. Too many chinese travellers, you cant even walk freely on the street. They are also there for jewellery, baby formula, and gambling etc. Macao has been redeveloped by china in an extremely unhealthy way, that the whole city can only rely on tourism (including gambling industry). The future of younger generation is dim. Hong Kong still has our chances - the propaganda talks as if we cant live without the chinese tourist, yet tourism only take up 3% of our GDP. The governments reserve (from our taxes and income) is one of the highest in the world, more than many other big countries (meanwhile china keeps on taking our money from the reserve in the name of donation and development excuses). We still have a healthy and clean system in terms of financial and investment (meanwhile china keeps on contaminating our system by the Wu-Kong-tung which is an unfair exchange platform that connects HongKong and Shanghai/Mainland.) We MUST fight for our home. Otherwise, Hong Kong will die and become the Zombie city that you dont want to imagine in no time.
