This is Malala Yousafzai, and she has won the Noble Peace Prize at the age of 17. After being shot in the head by the Taliban for advocating for girls rights to education in Swat, Pakistan, she recovered, and became an activist for womens rights on a global scale. I am in actual, literal tears at her victory and the reviewed faith in humanity and the power of one voice that she has instilled in me. Look at where a girl with a book and an opinion can bring the world. This is what we can do when we are Not Afraid. When we are #StrongerThan. She has inspired me, and millions of people like me, to do good and to be good, even in the face of atrocities. She is a true hero. And Im sure the world is applauding her. I know I am.
