This is Mona, she came into rescue about 10 days ago fom a high kill shelter in So Cal. She is about 8 years old and will possibly be another “fospice” dog. She is being fostered by one of our newest volunteers (a vet tech). Mona has been to the vet to check out the large mass on her leg and her distended abdomen plus bloodwork. Mona is on pain medication for bad Arthritis and Antibiotics for kennel cough. She is getting around better.. Our next vet visit is put off at this time, so she can get over this cough... But she is a total love and has a heart of gold. We are keeping our fingers crossed for good news and not something devastating. Laurie, our volunteer who picked her up said she stunk to high heaven, so first thing was a bath (which she absolutely loved). She is a sweet, sweet, sweet older gal. We appreciate any help with Monas medical bills as she will have the mass on her leg removed and x-rays to determine the cause of her distended abdomen once shes recovered from the kennel cough.
