This is Mr. Dewey the Clown. He is a large Pit Mix with a TON of energy. Mr. Dewey has been at the shelter since July 19th when he was found roaming the street around Circle K in Tombstone. Not a safe place for a dog. He is people friendly and is just now learning basic manners. He will sit for food and treats and if you show him where they are in your pocket he learns very quickly that they may be for him if he is a good boy. He is very strong when walking but if you let him be the leader of the pack he wont pull. Mr.Dewey LOVES to play in a pool or a water hose, he is quite the acrobat when it comes to the hose. He has a very squeaky high pitched voice that will make you laugh. The shelter is not a good place for him and he needs to be out where he has room to run and play. He needs training, and a strong human that will have patience with him. Mr. Dewey will probably not be going to PetSmart as he is not a good candidate for all that stimulation. He also should not be around cats. He gets rather fixated on the kittens in the window of our cat room. If you would like to make an appointment to see him please call the shelter at 520-457-2545 .
