This is My boy (will not give his name as old owners still live local) and he is my world. Ive only had him about 15 months I took him on after he was abandoned and left in a local house. He was emaciated and in need of medical attention when I took him on. I knew nothing about dogs at the time but did everything I could for him. He is about 10 years old and at the time and appeared not to have been well socialized, so in the first 3 months I did have some behavior problems when walking him. Please note the body harness he is wearing. It is like a waist coat jacket with a handle on top. It has been amazing it supports his whole frame and gives me as a responsible dog owner the opportunity to secure him quickly if I feel the need. After a year of positive reinforcement my boy is perfect off the lead with 99 % recall and voice command . The 1 % usually falls in line after a repeat command. Im probably preaching to the converted but I just wanted people to see there is always another way. Love and kindness with positive reinforcement Along with your time and effort will win the day. Lets stop the use of such harsh methods of animal control.
