This is OLIVIA ( our name).. she was found roaming the streets in S LA alone with no ID/ no chip by a friend of Elenas . They have been trying to locate an owner for some time now ( shelter L/F, vets offices ) but no one has come forward to claim her . Elenas friend cannot keep her, so she asked us if we might be able to help... WELL OF COURSE WE WILL..I think we would do just about ANYTHING to repay Elena a favor for all she has done to help us over the years.. and we do not want this little doll to have to go to the shelter ...especially THIS BUSY time of year!! All I know about her right now is that she is maybe just under one, skinny and sweet and needs our help. She will be headed for Vancouver in early Jan along with Abigail ,and Parker and will be needing a warm bed and a soft heart to lay her sweet head. We are trying to get a big adoption event planned for the weekend of Jan 17/ 18 and of course we will need LOTS of HELP.. we have LOTS of DOGS!! lol So keep that weekend open if you can help us out. The adoption events are fun , and ideally we like to have one volunteer per dog , so that the dogs can meet & greet potential adopters and it frees Sarah D , Sarah P and I to chat with potential adopters as well. NO ADOPTIONS ARE DONE ON SITE... all families MUST be checked out/ homevisited and preapproved first, before they can leave with one of our dogs. These events are ALWAYS super busy and have been very successful for us to help screen potential adopters.. MORE news.. BELLA will be headed to Miami on Jan 7 to join her new family... we have just booked all my/ her flight arrangements, so January is shaping up to be a VERY BUSY MONTH already and we are not even thru Dec. With the exception of a meet & greet for Toby ( trying to arrange time / date) we will be suspending ALL adoptions until the new year.. in addition to attempt to spend some time with my own family & friends this year, we have Andys travel arrangements on Dec 27/ 28 to his new family.
