This is Part 2 of last Mondays Board of Trustees meeting. Again, apologies for the delay. The video picks up in the middle of more public comment extolling the greatness of Janet Barnes and Dr. Luza, and condemning BBB for allegedly causing so much divisiveness in the District (not sure who organized this, but they all left right after public comment). At approximately 11:00 minutes into the video, we attempted to set the record straight about the real purpose of the Building a Better Board committee. Consent agenda discussion begins at approximately 20:00 minutes. Scroll ahead to 36:30 to hear Trustee Garcia suggest (once again) that the Unions concerns be taken up privately with their administration instead of in a public, transparent way. Kudos to SETC President Carol Rodrigues for insisting that such dialogue be carried out publicly for everyone to observe. After all, that is how public agencies are supposed to work.
