This is Paytons performance in the finals last night at the Catch a Rising Star Talent contest held at the Washington (Puyallup) State Fair. After winning last year, she finished third in her age category (12-17) this year. Competition was much tougher this year but after looking at the video again when I got home, I cant see how Payton could have done any better. As a parent, its hard to stay objective about how your kid does. But having said that, I really dont think the girl who won was any better. She was 3 or 4 years older so maybe that helped her. I probably could have taken a tie. Yea, that would have worked. Second place was given as a tie to two boys who did solo dance numbers so cant really compare them. You all can be the judge on how Payton did. Be sure and watch the finish. Sounded like the crowd liked her. Go Hawks!
