This is Pratoni del Vivaro, right outside of Rome, Italy where I learned how to ride a cross country course. Some of the jumps in the background Ive jumped a time or two. :) Been thru the water complex in the video too. Too bad ya cant see the flocks of sheep that keep the land nicely landscaped. Pratoni del Vivaro is Italys national training ground for its up and coming riders as well as their Olympians. Lots of international events are held here every year. For me this is about galloping a cross country course with a very rhythmical gallop, not like what I see today where most courses are almost like a show jumping course. We were lucky to have learned and ridden here-I may not have turned out to be an event rider but I do know how to tackle a cross country course because I learned at the bestest place in the world---Rome, Italy. :)
