This is Railroad Charlie who had a short brutal life in 1982. After the angry young man disappeared, his testicles turned up on a shelf of the cabin at Gerbracht Camp. Gerbracht Camp was a wonderful place with a high and spectacular view of Black Mountain and Last Chance Canyon. It had originally belonged to Della Gerbracht, a colorful gun-toting woman called The Queen of the El Paso’s in some stories. I knew the Gerbracht gold claim when owned by John Bullock and Mark Aslin. These gentlemen were practicing mystics in the 70’s. In the early 80’s the place occupied by gunrunning ex Green Beret I knew as Lee. I had met Lee at Bickel’s and he had made it clear he wasn’t very social. Charlie it seems had been Lee’s nephew. There is a license plate on the bike—it would be fun to run that plate. The other is the tattoo SUE on Charlie’s arm. We like could know more about this guy who lived by selling cheap pot laced with Jimson Weed.
