This is Regarding 10/31/14 to 11/5/14 and it is a VERY long post so bare with me. (Pictures soon to come) Anyways, if you feel like reading it, you’re a champ.: So, I guess now that my adventurous week is over, I can reflect back. Well, it started with Halloween. I attended Seans get together that Friday as Ezio from Assassins Creed. A good many of my friends were there and it was a good event. The following day, I had some last minute work done on my car and then attended my friend Megans party as Wayne from Wayne’s World. I met a lot of really nice people and had a pretty good night. (For the record, I do not drink, so I was the DD the first night, and the designated food eater for the second one. Haha.) Then came Sunday. My friend Karen and I set out for Stroudsburg, PA to see Mastodon, Gojira, and Kvelertak. My 8th time seeing Gojira and my 3rd time seeing Mastodon. We hung out around town and checked out some sites for about an hour and a half as we waited for the show. I was also very excited as I was to meet up with my friend from India, Abhinav Yogesh. We have been internet correspondents for about two or three years now as we both share a passion for Gojira, our favorite band. Finally, as he approached with Bill from Mastodon, we both became overly excited and hugged. It was great to finally meet him. Once he grabbed his belongings, we loaded up the stuff in the car and waited for the event to start. We had A LOT to talk about. Doors opened shortly after 6:30 and we went and grabbed our front row spots, just as we had planned. This was Abhinavs 7th show of this tour! He planned to follow the band around the East Coast tour, and definitely succeed. Anyways, this was my 3rd time catching this tour, as it had came through back in May. We had an absolute AWESOME time finally catching a show together. I caught a drumstick, a few picks, and got a setlist. What a night. So, after grabbing some merch, we stuck around for a little bit, then headed home. Another 3 and a half hours back, and man were they exhausting. We got in around 4:30AM and I headed to bed shortly after. The following day, I decided to show Abhinav around. I took him to Shepherd to see what class was like, and needless to say, that was interesting. Lol. He answered so many questions the professor threw at him, but he was happy to do so. From there, we headed up to play drums at my friend, Zach Roach’s old place. We jammed a few Gojira songs, which Abhinav will post later! \m/ From there we came back and played some Fifa, which, for the record, I won. =P After resting a bit and freshening up, we went out to dinner at BDubs, which Zach Waters, Jen Donaho, and Nick Calvitt attended. I was glad they came because I wanted Abhinav to meet more of my friend’s and see how awesome they are. We went back to Zach’s and hung out for a bit until Ab got tired, then we came home to sleep and get ready for the Baltimore show! We were picked up by Seth, Heather, and their son Chris around 11. I love them. They’re like family to me now. So glad I met them at the Gojira show in May. Anyways, we got to Baltimore after lunch, and just kind of stuck around Ram’s Head for a bit after Abhinav checked into his hotel. We met up with an old show buddy of mine, Peter and chilled with him for a good bit of the day. Around 6 PM, I headed to the VIP Meet and Greet, which was more like a hangout for me since I have met them. Lol. The guys signed my stuff, and I finally got a picture with everyone. I have been trying to make that happen for ever, as I can never catch them all at once, so FINALLY! Haha. Shortly before heading back, Christian brought out his guitar for a few of us guitar players to check out. Beautiful custom Jackson with the old school Godzilla logo on it, if you didn’t already know of it. From there, I hurried back around to meet up with my gang in the front row and proceeded to have an AMAZING time until the Mastodon set, where some crowd-surfer kicked my Go-Pro out of my hand. Unfortunately, I think it was picked up by someone at the concert and they must have made off with it, so it is now gone for good. Luckily for me, the only thing on the device was a few pictures from that night, which thankfully Heather and Seth snapped some so I still have those. All of my other pictures were on my phone, which I am so glad of. After talking with security and trying to find it, to no avail, which I do thank security for empathizing with me on this, we headed out back and caught up with a few of the Mastodon and Kvelertak guys. From there, 2AM, mind you, we went to grab dinner, then took Abhinav back to his hotel to say our good-byes. I’m so glad he got to do this and we got to hang. I’m also glad his experience in the US was absolutely incredible. Everyone he met, he said, was very nice to him, and I’m glad my friends were as well. You know who you are. You guys rock. Anyways, other than the Go-Pro incident, I had the PERFECT week. Which I began to recover my strength back the following day, leading me up until now. I want to thank everyone who helped make this past week awesome for me. You guys are in my life for a reason, so thank you. Well, that’s about it. So yeah, if you made it to this point, you must find my life interesting. Lol.
