This is Street Superintendent Steve Charnetzky. We hope that you had a wonderful Independence Day Celebration and it’s now time to start picking up the limbs from our last storm. Because of the large amount of limbs out there, we are going to work our way through the City systematically and we ask that you be patient with us. We will begin tomorrow by picking up limbs on Monday’s sanitation route. We will travel every street throughout Monday’s route and therefore you will not need to schedule a pickup. As we reach the end of Monday’s routes, we will contact you again before beginning to work through Tuesday’s route. The same will go for each sanitation route. We will not be able to return to an area until we have been completely through the City, and so we ask that you use these calls to be prepared and to get your limbs out to your curbs. We also ask that you refrain from putting extra bulk items out with your regular trash until August’s Bulk Amnesty Week if at all possible. This will allow us to focus on the massive limb piles citywide. I ask that you thank our crew members as they make their way through the City. On top of the many hours already put in this year , they will be working long, hard hours to clean up from this storm. We will try our best to keep everyone updated and all of the information will be posted on the City website and Facebook sites as well. Thank you.
