This is Thunder! He was a Craigs List dog in Kansas City that Debbie Duncan found and followed up on. For the record, BTR does not buy dogs from Craigs list but we will take them and guarantee that they will be placed in a good home. Thunder was owned by a backyard breeder of Irish Wolfhounds and IGs - we have no idea why she had him but when she relinquished him to us she simply stated that he couldnt be house trained, he killed chickens and she thought someone else would give him a better life. He has spent the past 10 days in a house and hasnt had an accident yet! He is happy, social, loves all people and gets along with all dogs. He is going to his new home this weekend to a person in Iowa who has been waiting for a long time for the right dog to come through rescue. Special thanks to Deb Duncan for finding him and following up, and to Deb, Deena Pries, and Deana for transporting him from Kansas City to Cedar Rapids Iowa for foster care with Glenda Fillenworth. Im sure Thunders new life as a house dog and cherished pet will be MUCH better than his first 5 years living outside.
