This is Trumbull County Fair Week. For those that live near the fair, we know this means noise, people and extra traffic. If you are traveling to the fair please use extra caution on the roadways. The weather is expected to be hot and humid today and tomorrow then warm and sunny for Thursday-Sunday. Please remember to hydrate with water before and during your visit. Also limit your soda intake and take frequent breaks while enjoying all the fair has to offer. Your Bazetta Fire Dept has scheduled extra staff to handle the anticipated call load that the fair usually brings. The First Aid Station in the grandstands is open throughout the week and will be staffed by various personnel from fire departments throughout the county as well as an "incident commander" who is in charge of all personnel and incidents that arise inside the fairgrounds. Today personnel from Newton Falls and Warren Twp. Fire Departments are providing fair protection. Equipment has been provided by various agencies from around the county. including Cortland City Fire, Bristol Twp. Fire, the Trumbull County EMA and Hazardous Materials Team. We would like to thank them for the use of their equipment during the week. We will continue to provide additional updates throughout the week.
