This is Tulip. DOB 11/18/2013 - Tulip was one of the orphans selected to take part in the PetFuntastic (https://youtube/watch?v=gECSwpELO1Q) training videos in October. She took to training quickly and was brilliant per the trainer. More about Tulip... Good with other dogs? Enjoys them, but plays very roughly with most. Has had a couple of small doggie friends with whom she has played well – that is, not too roughly. Walks well on a leash? Not yet. Needs an Easy Walker, or something similar. Any behavioral or anxiety problems? No, other than handling problems caused by her strength, high energy, and irrepressible exuberance. Health issues – special needs: No known problems. Does dog it know basic commands: Come, sit, stay, any hand signals, etc.? Yes, but has trouble calming down enough to show what she knows. She did wonderfully in training class for the Petfuntastic training videos. How does she react in crowds or at a meet & greet? Friendly, but jumps up a lot, and can knock one down due to size and strength. More training will help this. What else can you say about it as far as timid, playful, clingy, aloof, sweet personality, adores belly rubs, etc.? Extremely affectionate and playful. Loves being handled. Energy level – 1 is low, 5 is high. 5+ Enjoys toys? Yes Special needs from new family? Must have lots of exercise every day. Owners will need to go through obedience classes with Tulip. (Do NOT send her away for obedience training! She will need that bonding experience with her owner.) Will need lots of patience as she grows older (she’s still very young), is trained to better behavior, and mellows a bit. Would be a terrific exercise dog, such as a jog dog, once trained.
