This is a Snail Vine which I have had on my property for 27 years. I cut it back year after year and it just keeps on growing and flowering every year. I only found out what it was about a year ago, after doing an internet search. Florists have told me they are interested in it, but that would require growing the vines in a paddock along an erected clothes line (as you would grape vines), in order to get enough flowers for commercial purposes. However, I do have enough blooms for a few dinner tables if any restaurant is interested in purchasing them. This picture here shows the flower just blooming. I took it just now with my phone camera. It gets longer than this, and the colours range through lavender, cream, purple and white on a single bloom. If anyone would like to buy a Snail Vine plant, I can pot one up for you. $15 per potted plant. I just love these blooms, they are exquisite!
