This is a Texas Rangers television commercial that ran this past summer to promote fun at the ballpark after injuries had taken a toll on our roster and season. All summer and still even now, its amazing how people I run into at a mall, grocery store or on twitter in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that are from southern Illinois or have passed through Marion. That backyard ballpark that I mention in the spot was on S. Second Street. As I said yesterday, i am very proud of growing up in Marion and owe a lot to the city and all of my friends I grew up with.
