This is a Video of the impeccable Jay Flippin on the Piano. Jay and I worked many years at the same Recording Studios around the Tri-State area. Where we both play the same instrument we would usually pass each other in the hallway and exchange pleasantries and go on our way to the next..however, we always had the opportunity to hear each other on the recording sessions and sometimes wed play on the same albums just not at the same time. But over the past few months Jay and I have had a chance to have a little more conversation over the phone or on the Internet talking about the old days. Jay, (as most of my musician friends already know) has been battling Cancer for a while now. I just wanted to post this video as tribute on my page to not only one of the greatest Jazz Pianoists in the world, but also a very dear friend and one of the most kind hearted, humble people that Ive ever had the privilege to know.
