This is a beautiful tribute to her father by a sweet, southern 16- year old young lady. Please keep the Granger family in your prayers. Last night, at 9:02 my daddy went home to be with The Lord. Hes out of pain and cancer free. Knowing he is with The Lord brings an incredible peace. I am going to greatly miss my daddy, but only while Im here on earth. I know Ill see him again very soon. And what a wonderful day that will be! If through this process, we are able to reach out to one person who does not know Jesus Christ, then all the tears, suffering and the pain is worth it. Because that is our ultimate purpose here on earth, to make the kingdom of God larger. I can not imagine going through this with out Jesus Christ and I do not see how anyone does. The past week has been rough. Last weekend he went to Perry GA to a NRHA with us to watch me and my sister show. Once we got home just a day later, communicating with him was hard and very minimal. But one thing always came out clear, and that was I love you. My daddy did not leave this earth with any of his kids or his wife wondering if he loved them. One of the hardest conversations I have ever had was about one year ago, when the cancer had come back. He told me how proud he was of me and that he so sorry he wouldnt be able to walk me down the aisle at my wedding one day. But daddy, you left me four incredible big brothers that will be here for me when that day comes. You fought hard daddy and I know you were tired. I know you are now up in heaven with The Lord walking on streets of gold. I am so thankful for the 16 years I had D. Keith Granger MD. as my daddy. Daddy, I love you. And I will see you again very soon. When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation. And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart. Then I shall bow, in humble adoration. And then proclaim: My God, how great Thou art! Then sings my soul, My savor God to thee, How great Thou art, how great thou art. —
