This is a bit of a puzzler I half remember a ghost story (I think it was in a Mary Danby anthology in the 70s or 80s, not that that narrows the field in that period) and it featured at one point a lone figure on the top deck of an open bus on a foggy, freezing night in London. The man moved stiffly, and was likened to a tailors dummy in one description.Later in the tale, the only evidence of his passing was a claw shaped piece of ice on the deck rail. I can recall nothing more. Ive rooted through my anthologies to no avail, and come to the conclusion it must have been a library loan. Does it ring a bell with anyone?
