This is a buck I nicknamed Preacher because of the circumstances surrounding this photograph... The afternoon before I took this photo I had been informed about the death of my sister in Minnesota..... The next morning I went out by myself to reflect and to hike/photograph... Early that morning I came upon this buck who had recently shed his velvet, and in the beautiful morning light he posed perfectly for a good shot.... After I got back to my camper and downloaded the photos to my laptop, I could not believe my eyes as I sat there, staring, with tears in my eyes.... God was showing me - Your sister is well and with me in Heaven!!!!! People see signs of the Divine everywhere, but there, on my computer screen, was a wonderful - marvelous - miraculous sign from God above..... This deer, this beautiful buck, has the perfect shape of a Cross on his chest/brisket!!!!!!!! No Photoshop trickery, just a reminder from Heaven that my sister is whole, that I should rejoice!!!!
