This is a cop-out. We have done about 5 school trips in the last couple of weeks, all with parent transport. Since every child must be in a booster, its not hard to leave the named booster at the classroom door (which is what I do if I cant provide transport). Boosters cost $30. Many of the parents I talk to carry a spare for their kids friends or to pop into grandmas car etc. An enterprising and supportive business should step up and offer schools discounts on these boosters. These half boosters are small, wouldnt take up too much room, and a whole class set is unneccassry. Safety first. I am still astounded that buses dont have seatbelts but as the driver reminds me, its too hard to govern.
