This is a couple of weeks old, but it has been very moving to see how the citizens of Las Vegas have rallied around this heros family. It now seems evident that while this CCW permit holder was killed, shot in the back while trying to stop the killing, likely saved dozens of lives. While the scumbags who had just killed two cops were dealing with him, all of their potential hostages made it out the back doors. The cops then barricaded them, trapping the murderers inside. Joseph Wilcox was the last person they killed. Contributions to cover his final expenses have come from all over the country, as well as his own home town. Local police and sheriffs gave thousands to the family of a man who could have run away, but instead chose to risk his lives for others.
